I'm a southern California native and love the sun! Palm Springs has always been a nice getaway from the chaos of Los Angeles. I relax when I come to Camp 1959. I walk through the entry doors that lead to the pool and lock out the world behind me.
My favorite spot? The Hammock at sunset. From here you can see into the house and watch the sun duck behind the mountains. I've dozed off in the hammock a few times!
Walking around the neighborhood you get the feel of what a real Mid Century Nieghborhood is like. The roof lines and landscapes make this a unique place where the past and present come together.

This house seems to have a life of its own. It was recently remodeled and updated. I wanted to pay homage to the decades that the house has seen. Built in 1959, the house was designed to take advantage of the outdoor living lifestyle. The house was a blank canvas. I chose a palette of greens, oranges and blues that contrast the bright white walls and floors.
My favorite spot? I'd have to say the jacuzzi at night. The pool lighting can be changed to a variety of colors, the stars blanket the skies and the interiors of the house can be seen through the walls of glass that overlook the pool.
This was such a fun place to transform and watch come to life!
